Pets are very welcome in Ty Gwyn. There is a £25 supplement for each pet and a £80 refundable deposit on cleaner’s discretion. This has been introduced as on a few occasions it has been almost impossible to do the changeovers on time due to the extra cleaning required to ensure high standards are maintained.

Please, these rules are not meant to offend you or your pets:

1) They are kept out of the bedroom at all times

2) They are not allowed on the sofas

3) They are not left alone in the cottage

4) Any mess is cleaned up from the garden

5) If there are people in the adjoining cottage please consider their use of the garden and that they and their children are comfortable with dogs.

6) Please do not allow them to wander into neighbour’s gardens. The garden is not totally dog proof.

On one occasion I had a family who, sadly, ignored the rules and allowed their pets into the bedrooms. Unfortunately all of the bedding was unusable and had to be thrown away. A deep steam clean of the property was needed. Luckily on this occasion I did not have a booking the following week as the necessary cleaning would not have been possible within the normal changeover time.

The £80 refundable deposit is used for any additional cleaning that I or the cleaner feel is excessive. Thankfully this has has only been used, in part, once in the last 10 years.

I don’t wish to stop people from enjoying a holiday with their pets here. I would kindly ask that if you are not happy with the rules, please seek another pet friendly cottage.
